Hi, I'm Allison, Founder of The Last Boot.
I started The Last Boot to rewrite the role comfort plays in women’s lives. The heart of the problem with poorly made, uncomfortable shoes is the outdated notion that women are expected to endure pain to be powerful or beautiful. For decades, I hobbled around in spike heels because I thought that was what made me sexy on a date or powerful at the office. I thought being comfortable meant feeling like a wallflower.
Instead at LASTS we put an end to the saying: “great beauty comes with great pain” and embrace that being comfortable frees women to do anything and thus becomes yet another tool for her success.
For far too long uncomfortable shoes have been holding women back. Now more than ever women and men are sitting at the table together. Men aren't wearing uncomfortable shoes, so why should we?
